A supple blend of Argentina's top red grapes – Malbec and Bonarda - brimful of juicy plum and cassis
Tasting Notes
For the last 15 years, Argentina has wowed us with the wonders of Malbec. It adopted this Bordeaux variety and made the grape its own, softening its renowned tannins and bringing out all its appealing supple black fruit and floral aromas.
Bonarda is another star variety, less in the spotlight, but nevertheless full of pleasing cherry fruit. Here winemaker Diego Sinatra (no relation to the legend), who learnt his skill at some of the country's top cellars, blends the two.
The grapes were sourced from top-performing vineyards in Tupungato in Mendoza's Uco Valley. This area has some of the highest, coolest and best-drained vineyards. No wonder this red has a freshness and appealing fruit. It was created with hearty red meat dishes in mind.
