Vitamin C 1000mg tablets contain a relevant level of bioflavonoids (150mg per tablet) because they are known to aid vitamin C absorption. Whilst there are many companies selling Vitamin C tablets, not many contain bioflavonoids. Bioflavonoids in particular support Vitamin C in the role it plays in the maintenance of healthy collagen formation for the normal function of cartilage, the tough tissue that lines the surfaces of joints. Vitamin C also contributes to the normal function of the skin, gums and immune system and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
